Rhode Island man dies in motorcycle crash

Posted by Robert T. Karns | Jul 23, 2014 | 0 Comments

Motorcycles do not offer much protection from the surrounding environment on the road and can expose a person to serious injuries in the event of a motorcycle crash. When motorists are not aware of motorcycles on the road, they can create a dangerous situation that may result in a motorcycle crash. A Rhode Island man recently lost his life when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle.

The afternoon accident occurred when a large mail truck attempted to make a left hand turn onto a local road and collided with an oncoming motorcycle. The tragic crash inflicted major injuries to the middle-aged man who was driving the motorcycle. A crash with a motorcycle can inflict irreversible damages to a person much easier than if they were in a four-wheel car with a metal frame.

The motorcyclist was transferred to a nearby hospital following the serious accident where he passed away. Medical treatment needed for serious accident trauma can be extensive and may not always save the person's life. The driver of the mail truck was also treated for injuries incurred during the wreck that were not as serious.

A team of Rhode Island specialists completed a reconstruction of the accident as they continue the investigation of the motorcycle crash. The family of the deceased may have feelings of anger and confusion as they grieve the loss of their loved one. A person who has lost someone in a motorcycle crash may seek guidance in pursuing restitution for the damage and expenses inflicted through a civil lawsuit.
